By means of a press release published last April 25 , the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) announced that the deadline to submit the annual statements of Individuals for the 2017 fiscal year of the Income Tax will have a extension until May 15 of the current year , in contrast to the scheduled April 30.
This delay is due to the presentation of new information in the payroll declaration process, allowing space for the application of possible corrections in said statements. 
With this the SAT, seeks to give opportunity for timely compliance with obligations, as well as the certainty of the figures declared.
It is important to remember that individuals who only receive income from wages of a single employer, can choose not to present the annual return or, if they wish to do so, they can comply at any time of the year.
